K53 Online Test
— Free Practice in Your Browser
This free K53 online test runs the same 68-question structure as the DLTC paper — 30 road rules, 30 road signs and 8 vehicle controls, timed at 60 minutes and marked section by section. Open it on a phone or a laptop and start immediately; there is nothing to install and no account to create.
You cannot get a licence from an online test — here is what this is for
The official K53 test is written in person at a DLTC, where your identity is checked and the result goes onto eNaTIS. No website can issue a learner’s licence, and any site that claims otherwise is not telling you the truth. What an online test is genuinely good for is arriving at the DLTC having already answered a thousand questions in the same format — so the paper holds no surprises.

Four Ways to Take the Test Online
A full mock paper is the right measure of readiness, but it is not the fastest way to improve. Mix the modes: diagnose with a full paper, improve with drills, then re-test.
Full mock paper
All 68 questions, 60-minute timer, marked section by section. The closest thing to sitting the real paper.
Open this mode →Quick 10
Ten questions for a spare five minutes. Useful for keeping momentum between longer sessions.
Open this mode →Single section
Road rules, road signs or vehicle controls on their own, so you can attack the section that is costing you marks.
Open this mode →Mistakes only
Replays the questions you have previously got wrong, which is the fastest way to move a score.
Open this mode →Taking the K53 Online Learners Test on Any Device
The whole K53 online learners test runs in a phone browser at the same 68-question length as it does on a laptop. Nothing is cut down for small screens.
Any device
The full question bank works on a phone browser. Nothing to download from an app store, and no storage taken up.
Works without data
The site installs as a web app and caches the questions, so a session already loaded keeps working when your signal drops.
Progress kept locally
Scores and weak areas are stored in your own browser for the progress dashboard. No account, and nothing uploaded.
K53 Online Test — Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take the official K53 test online?▼
No. The official K53 learner’s licence test must be written in person at a Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC), where your identity is verified and the result is recorded on eNaTIS. No website can issue a learner’s licence. What you can do online is practise the same questions in the same format, which is what this page offers, free.
Is a K53 online test the same as the real test?▼
The format is the same: 68 multiple-choice questions across road rules, road signs and vehicle controls, with 60 minutes to complete them and each section marked separately. The questions are not the exact ones in the eNaTIS bank, because that bank is not public. Practising the same syllabus in the same structure is what makes the real paper feel familiar.
Is the K53 test on a computer or paper?▼
The majority of DLTCs now use a computerised system called the CLLT, taken on a touchscreen. Some older or rural centres still use paper. Either way the questions, the time limit and the pass marks are identical.
How many questions are in the K53 online test?▼
A full mock paper is 68 questions: 30 road rules, 30 road signs and 8 vehicle controls. Shorter modes are available if you want a quick 10-question run rather than a full sitting.
What is the pass mark for the K53 test?▼
You must pass all three sections independently: Road Rules 22/30 (73%), Road Signs 23/30 (77%), and Vehicle Controls 6/8 (75%). Failing even one section means you have failed the overall test.
Do I need to sign up or pay to practise online?▼
No. There is no account, no email address and no payment. Your scores are saved in your own browser so your progress dashboard works, and nothing is sent to a server.
